HAA WOMAN ….
David had always been a hardworking and dedicated supervisor at the hotel he worked at in Lagos. He took pride in ensuring that all the rooms were well-maintained and that the guests had a comfortable stay. However, despite his dedication to his job, there was always a part of him that felt empty. He longed for something more, something that his job could not provide.
One evening, as David was browsing through the stalls at the Mani market in Dodan Barracks, he saw her. Marry, a beautiful young lady with a captivating smile and a twinkle in her eyes. She was selling handmade jewelry at a stall, and David couldn’t take his eyes off her. He felt an instant connection with her, a feeling he had never experienced before.
Feeling bold, Edward approached Marry and struck up a conversation. He was nervous but determined to express his feelings for her. To his relief, Marry was receptive to his advances and even gave him her phone number. They began talking and getting to know each other, and soon their friendship blossomed into a deep and meaningful relationship.
Marry would often visit Edward at the hotel during his shifts, and they would steal moments together whenever they could. Edward was over the moon with happiness, believing that he had finally found the love of his life. Little did he know, however, that his happiness would soon be shattered.
One fateful morning, as David was making his rounds at the hotel, he walked in on a shocking sight. There was Marry, locked in a passionate embrace with the hotel manager, Sunday. David couldn’t believe his eyes. He felt as though his world was collapsing around him. He confronted Marry, but she denied knowing him, breaking his heart into a million pieces.
Unable to bear the betrayal, David resigned from his position at the hotel and took up a job at another hotel by the beach. He was devastated by what had transpired and couldn’t understand how Marry could have deceived him in such a cruel manner. It wasn’t until his former coworkers approached him with the truth that David realized the extent of Marry’s deceit.
They revealed that Marry had been involved with Manager Sunday for years, and that their affair was an open secret among the staff. They shared stories of how they had seen the manager and Marry engaging in inappropriate behavior within the hotel premises, including one incident in the hotel’s toilet.
David was left reeling from the revelation, feeling foolish and heartbroken. He couldn’t comprehend how he had been so blind to the truth, how he had fallen for Marry’s facade so easily. It was a sobering lesson for Edward, one that taught him to be more cautious with his heart in the future.
As he settled into his new job at the hotel by the beach, David vowed to never let himself be taken advantage of again. He focused on his work, throwing himself into his responsibilities and distancing himself from thoughts of Marry and the pain she had caused him.
In the end, David emerged from the heartbreak stronger and wiser. He learned the importance of discernment and the need to protect his heart from those who would seek to break it. And though the memory of Marry lingered in his mind, he knew that he would eventually heal and move on, ready to face whatever challenges life threw his way.
